We currently have two vacancies for a Scheme Assistant to join the team at our Very Sheltered Housing Development in Comrie, providing a professional housing support service to our tenants within the development. Duties include domestic tasks, liaising with tenants, dealing with emergencies and tenant related queries, helping with meal preparation and serving, as well as administrative tasks.
Applicants should preferably have experience of working with older people and a good understanding of their needs. In addition, SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous. However, if you do not have an SVQ qualification we will support you in gaining it over the next two to three years and we can also provide food hygiene training if necessary. You will also be required to use a computer for certain administrative duties; therefore basic IT knowledge would be helpful.
Normal hours will be 20 per week on a rota basis including evenings and weekends. Flexibility to work additional shifts is essential for this post to cover holidays and adsence.
The successful candidate will be requried to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and there is a 6 month probationary period for this role.
