Caretakers hit the road

Caledonia Caretakers hit the road!

Date Posted: 3rd of May 2013

Our new caretakers, Fred Tanyous and Ricky Malcolm hit the road last week in Caledonia’s new shiny caretaking vans.

Covering East Perthshire (Blairgowrie + Coupar Angus) and Highland Perthshire (Dunkeld, Pitlochry & Aberfeldy). Fred and Ricky will be part of the year-long pilot project where the Caretakers will be offering a Small Repairs Service, and other duties such as; cleaning empty properties; empty property lock changes, graffiti removal, change light bulbs, replace fence posts/slats, minor patching of walls, grouting, power wash closes, paths, bins, inspections of empty properties and small repairs.

The benefits of this are two-fold:

  • Provide a more effective, efficient and responsive service
  • More flexibilityConsistency of caretaking service standards
  • Continue traditional caretaking duties
  • Expand the service to include small repairs/handyman duties
  • Provide a mobile serviceMore visible presence in developments

You will see Fred and Ricky out and about in our vans, wearing the Caledonia navy uniforms and you’ll know when they have visited as we have introduced the use of 'Visit Cards' to inform residents when they have been on site.
