Meet our SFHA Apprentice Challenger!
Date Posted: 4th of June 2014
There is now just one day left until this year's SFHA Annual Conference. For the first time the Federation is holding the Apprentice Challenge which will see 20 apprentices from housing associations and co-operatives across Scotland set a task to complete over the course of the conference. During the challenge, the apprentices will design a sustainable community which is economically, environmentally and socially healthy for current and future generations.
The challenge aims to equip the young people with new skills which they can transfer to their apprenticeships as well as build their confidence and allow them a chance to network with sector leaders.
Jodi-Anne Robertson, 17, Customer Services Apprentice, Caledonia Housing Association
Why did you choose to do the apprenticeship?
I chose to do the apprenticeship because it's something I've been very interested in doing and it was a fantastic opportunity.
What have you enjoyed most about your apprenticeship?
I have enjoyed working in the environment of the housing association and also learning new things and how things are done.
What are your plans and hopes for the future?
My plans for the future are to hopefully work my way up in the business and become a role model to all future Modern Apprentices. I want to further my career in the housing sector and develop my skills in all areas of customer service.
