Faulty Fire Alarm Advice

We are aware of a small batch of mains powered smoke alarms that are displaying signs of a manufacturer software fault causing them to chirp. This fault DOES NOT affect the fire alarm working but we appreciate it will be very annoying to live with. If you alarm starts chirping we have put “chirp reset” advice below but first please report it to us straight away via:

- the website report a repair form
- 0800 678 1228 Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4pm
While we process your repair request the chirp can be silenced for a period of 8 hours. This can be done by pressing the middle button on the chirping alarm. Please note this is not to be done at the test/silence module on the wall. This “chirp reset” can be done up to 10 times if required while we make arrangements to get the unit changed. We are making the replacement of these units a priority.
