Date Posted: 17th of September 2021
On Thursday 16th September we were announced as a double winner at the Scottish Home Awards 2021 ceremony picking up the Housing Association of the Year award and Social Housing Developer of the Year award.
It was recognised by the judges that we have made an outstanding, and uninterrupted, contribution in providing high-quality affordable homes throughout the pandemic.
We were declared as finalists for the two awards after the judging panel assessed more than 130 entries in 18 categories received from 70 organisations from across Scotland.
On winning the award Julie Cosgrove, chief executive, said:
“I am delighted the Association won not one but two Scottish Home Awards last night. Housing Association of the Year and Social Housing Developer of the Year are incredible titles to be awarded.
I’m very proud of the contribution made by each and every member of the team and I am thrilled that their efforts have been recognised by the prestigious Scottish Home Awards. Both awards are further proof that Caledonia Housing Association is continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of our tenants.”
Alan Nairn, chair of Caledonia’s Management Board also praised the Association’s teams commenting:
“To be nominated and win a Scottish Home Award is a fantastic accolade for the Association. Winning two awards this year, when our operations were impacted by COVID-19, is a real testament to the dedicated work of the staff, the management team and the Board; who all continue to work tremendously hard to continuously improve services and conditions for our tenants. I look forward to continuing our improvement journey over the next year – further strengthening and enhancing the service we deliver for our tenants and customers. ”
