Measuring The Charter Outcomes – Self Assessment 2023-24
Background
Each year, we are required to report our performance in delivering the outcomes and standards outlined in the Scottish Social Housing Charter. This report must present customers with an assessment of our performance, highlighting any areas for improvement, in a clear and easy-to-read format. The relevant Regulatory Requirements are:
Scottish Social Housing Charter Performance: CH3
Report our progress toward the Charter outcomes and standards to tenants and service users, no later than October each year.
Agree on the format of performance reporting with tenants, ensuring it is accessible, plain, and jargon-free.
Scottish Social Housing Charter Performance: CH4
When reporting our performance to tenants and service users, we must:
Provide an assessment of how well we are delivering the relevant Charter outcomes and standards.
Include comparisons with previous years, other landlords, and national performance.
Outline how and when we plan to address any areas for improvement.
Offer tenants and service users a way to provide feedback on the format of the report.
Charter Key Performance Indicators, along with results from previous years, are included for comparison. We also highlight the progress made on improvement actions identified in the previous year’s self-assessment.
Service improvements that demonstrate our commitment to our guiding principles – Keeping it Simple, Making it Personal, and Making it Right – are highlighted. We also note actions that reflect our compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
As part of the assessment, we identify areas for further improvement and specify the timeline for addressing these.
A copy of the Scottish Social Housing Charter, including a description of each outcome, can be found on the Scottish Government website: The Scottish Social Housing Charter.
You can access the full results of our self-assessment, including performance data and the actions informing this year’s assessment, by following this link: Self Assessment Summary.
Once you’ve reviewed the self-assessment, we encourage you to complete a short, anonymous survey to share your views on how well we have met the outcomes or standards. The survey will close at 5pm on Monday 30th September 2024.
Once the self-assessment is finalised, we will prepare our annual performance report for tenants and stakeholders, which will be published by the end of October.
